Jones v. Scruggs: Judge Grants Jones’ Motion For Sanctions

Circuit Court Judge William Coleman on Wednesday granted the motion by the Jones, Funderburg law firm to sanction Dickie Scruggs and all the other members of the former Scruggs Katrina Group and enter a default (here and earlier), striking the defendants’ motion to compel arbitration. He also granted Jones’ reasonable attorney fees in this proceeeding in addition to the question of damages originally sought from the partnership.
