In US District Court in Covington, Kentucky on Monday, jury instructions were given and closing arguments were completed in the trial of fen-phen class action attorneys William Gallion, Shirley Cunningham Jr. and Melbourne Mills Jr. The three attorneys were indicted in June 2007 on one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. They allegedly pocketed $65 million more than they were entitled to under terms of the class action settlement with American Home Products on behalf of 440 Kentuckians harmed by the drug.
